Please pay your deposit into the ART HAVEN New Zealand bank account below – using your name in the ‘particulars’ column and the workshop title in the ‘code’ column.
On receiving your deposit, ART HAVEN will send you a confirmation email – this is a formal acceptance of the booking and represents an agreement by both parties to be bound by the ART HAVEN Terms and Conditions (see below).
ART HAVEN (AH) Terms and Conditions
Please read carefully
Once a booking has been confirmed and deposit paid AH guarantees that there will be no price increase in the cost of the event. The price of workshops will be held to the price when the deposit was made. Any alterations to prices, price increases or special offer discounts will not be applied to any prior booking.
The balance of payment for any ART HAVEN Workshop is due four weeks before the start date. AH will email you an invoice 2 weeks before the final due date. If the balance remains unpaid on the due date, AH reserves the right to treat the reservation as cancelled, and retain the deposit paid.
LCAW CANCELLATION POLICY
If, for any reason, you need to cancel your workshop, you must notify AH in writing. The cancellation date comes into effect when we confirm receipt of your written notification, confirmation of cancellation will then be confirmed in writing by AH via email.
The following cancellation charges will apply:
Prior to 80 days – full refund of deposit
Prior to 30 days – loss of deposit
30 – 0 days – 100% of the cost
Changes and Cancellation by ART HAVEN:
AH reserves the right to cancel any workshop at two months’ notice and provide you with a full refund. AH will only refund our own fees, AH will not refund the cost of travel or other third party costs. AH strongly advises you to take out your own trip cancellation insurance.
All information published on our websites, brochures or other documents is published in good faith at the time of writing, however AH reserves the absolute right to adapt, modify or change the schedule proposed to enhance the quality of the client’s experience, or because of conditions beyond our control. The itineraries proposed and published should be taken as a guide only.
AH is insured, but it is a condition that clients obtain their own travel insurance for personal accident, liability cover, trip cancellation, travel and medical insurance and personal belongings; and this should include repatriation to your place of departure. We strongly recommend that you are adequately covered.
Passport and any visa and health certificate requirements are the sole responsibility of the client.
THIRD PARTY CONTRACTORS
Services in connection with our workshops, such as accommodation and all forms of transport, are rendered by independent contractors who are not agents or employees of AH. Clients agree that AH shall not be liable for any delay, mishap, inconvenience, expense, bodily injury or death or loss or damage to property occasioned through the acts, negligence or defaults of any company or individual engaged in providing services to AH.
Force Majeure is the unusual and unforeseeable circumstance beyond our control, the consequences of which neither we or our suppliers could avoid, examples of which are threatened or actual war, riots, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, epidemics/pandemics, technical or maintenance problems with transport, natural or nuclear disaster, fire or adverse weather conditions, level of water in rivers, or other similar events outside AHs control.
Luggage and personal effects are left at the clients own risk. While on a AH workshop your personal belongings are your responsibility, therefore should be adequately insured, however we will endeavour to advise about security and the safe keeping of your personal effects/belongings.
The client will be liable for any damage or breakages, caused directly by them, to any property belonging to AH or another workshop participant, galleries and/or artist studios visited, or in transportation ie: minibuses. Participants are to leave the studio in the same state of repair and in the same clean and tidy condition as it was found at the start.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
AH endeavours to be a responsible host and does its utmost to ensure clients safety at all times. However, all activities during the AH events are undertaken at the clients own risk, and the use of amenities and equipment, where offered is entirely at the client’s risk and no responsibility can be accepted for injury, loss or damage to persons or property.
Clients need to be healthy and reasonably fit to undertake AH events. AH will assume that the client is 100% physically/medically fit unless notified otherwise. Any special dietary requirements or medical conditions that may affect the normal programme of events must be put in writing at the time booking. It is with regret that AH is unable to accommodate guests with wheelchairs or those who require the use of lifts due to the nature of the properties location.
For the comfort of all guests, smoking is not permitted inside the studio, main house or ART HAVEN Cottage.
AH reserves the right, at our sole discretion, to decline to accept or retain any client whose behaviour is deemed unacceptable, or whose conduct is disruptive or detrimental to the enjoyment of the other participants. AH also reserves the right, at our sole discretion, to decline to include any client from any activity, or postpone/cancel any activity, if that person does not have the appropriate clothing, footwear or other items we deem necessary for the safe participation in any of the activities, to the individual and/or other participants. This decision will be at the sole discretion of the venue operator, tutor, guide or instructor, before or during the activity. In this event, AH shall be under no obligation or liability for any costs incurred as a result of this action.
Our private transport leaves the airport at the time specified in the itinerary. Out of respect for other clients, we do not normally wait for late arrivals. It is the responsibility of anyone missing the mini bus to make his or her own way to the destination.
If you have any complaints while on a AH event, these must be reported at the time of the occurrence, both verbally and in writing.
