Textile artist Sally Reynolds from Mahana is coming back to Art Haven for another inspiring textile workshop and this time it’s 2 days!

Sally’s workshop is designed to explore your creativity and thriftiness to create an original hand-stitched artwork. She will guide you from selecting materials, to designing your collage. Stitching techniques using embroidery cottons are taught along with the principles of collage. Working from your sketchbook, or taking ideas from other sources, learn how to incorporate these elements into your piece.

And to make your textile artwork totally unique Sally will show you how to make your own fabrics using a variety of techniques including mark marking, washes from various mixed media (paints, inks etc), along with basic print making techniques using a Gelli Plate.

This workshop is suitable for everyone from experienced textile artists to beginners.
